Before dedicating herself full-time to arbitration, Elsa was the head of the international arbitration practice at Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, one of Mexico's most prestigious law firms, where she led the representation of clients in large-scale disputes and consolidated her career as an arbitrator.
Her joining Creel was preceded by more than fifteen years of independent practice at Ortega y Gómez Ruano, a boutique law firm specializing in arbitration that she cofounded, from which she acted both as arbitrator and as party-appointed counsel in domestic and international arbitration proceedings.
Elsa began her career in arbitration under the direction of Guillermo Aguilar Álvarez at SAI Consultores, where she represented clients in high-profile arbitration cases and received her first appointments as arbitrator.
